California Alcohol Return Policy

At Saketaro, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction with every purchase, including alcoholic beverages. Our return policy for alcohol adheres to California state regulations and is designed to address concerns regarding the quality and condition of the product.

Eligibility for Returns:

  1. Defective or Damaged Items: If you receive an alcoholic beverage that is spoiled, damaged, or defective, you may be eligible for a return, exchange, or refund.

  2. Compliance with State Laws: Returns are in accordance with California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) regulations. Returns due to personal taste preferences or if the product has been opened and/or consumed are typically not accepted.

Conditions for Returns:

  1. Unopened and Sealed: To qualify for a return, the item must be unopened, in its original packaging, and with all seals intact.

  2. Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns or exchanges.

Non-Returnable Items:

  1. Opened or Consumed Products: Due to the nature of perishable items, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges unless the product arrives damaged or defective.

  2. Personal Taste Preferences: Returns based on personal taste preferences are generally not accepted.

  3. Temperature-Related: We do not allow returns or refunds based solely on temperature-related issues. This is because the quality of the sake might have deteriorated due to factors beyond our control once it leaves our premises. We strongly recommend customer to upgrade to expedited shipping methods to minimize transit time and ensure they reach you as quickly as possible. See Shipping Information.

  4. Unavailable to take delivery/Pick up: We do not provide refunds for orders where the recipient is unable to take delivery or pick up the package at the designated location. If the package is returned to the sender, a re-shipping fee will apply.

Process for Returns:

  1. Initiating a Return: To request a return or report a defective product, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of receipt.

  2. Return Authorization: Once approved, follow the instructions provided by our customer service team regarding the return process.

Refunds:

  1. Refunds: Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, excluding any shipping or handling fees.

Note: Saketaro reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the criteria outlined in this policy or are in violation of California state laws.
